Croatia is on the Adriatic Sea and is a popular vacation destination. The largest city is the capital, Zagreb and it is possible to fly there. You can also fly into the coastal city of Dubrovnik. Otherwise, there are good connections if you fly to Trieste or Venice in Italy, or into Vienna, Austria. From there you can fly direct or go via train, bus or car. If you do go by road, they have some great highways.

It’s a good idea to find out about a Croatia vacation before you go, so you can take advantage of the many lovely areas in Croatia, go sightseeing as well as having a relaxing time at the beach. Croatia itself has more than a thousand islands and people flock to the coast there in the summer. The largest islands are Krk and Cres (about 150 square miles each) and they are both great places to visit and have a swim, surf and fun beach vacation.
